Creative Arts Center Closing Unless Fairfield City Council Can Find The Money

Fairfield Will Have To Shut Down The Creative Arts Center. Sadly It Will Be Closing Unless Fairfield City Council Can Find The Money.

On the Fairfield Creative Arts Center, the Fairfield City Council had a closed session Tuesday June 12, 2012.

In order to save $400,000 for Fairfield City Hall's ailing general fund budget, the Center will be shut down.

Performing arts groups during a late-April meeting with city officials decided to explore whether they could operate the theater themselves. Since that didn't produce results for the Fairfield Creative Arts Center, the Fairfield City Council and City Manager's office communicated with FixFairfield.Org.

On the Fairfield Creative Arts Center, the Fairfield City Council led a confidential discussion on possible terms for the Center for Creative Arts (CCA) property. The CCA discussion agenda has to date not provided details on what type of CCA deal is being contemplated.

Catch up with the details at the subscriber newspaper Fairfield Daily Republic www.DailyRepublic.com.  Meanwhile volunteers needing meeting space to discuss how the Fairfield Creative Arts Center and the Fairfield City Council might come to terms can be held at free Fairfield conference rooms in central Fairfield's business district www.SolanoConferenceRooms.com 707 434-8000
